To maintain our high levels of integrity and respect in the market, we abide by a strict ethical and operational code.

  • We do not undertake competing retained searches where there is an obvious conflict of interest with duplicated candidate sets.
  • In a “retained” search, we will not progress targeted executives for further roles with other clients, until it is clear they are no longer required for the original client's search.
  • We commit not to approach executives from existing retained clients without prior agreement.
  • We ensure we receive client approval for the text on any printed or web-based media advertisements.
  • Our policy is to interview all executives prior to the submitting their details to a client, barring exceptional circumstances.
  • We will not misrepresent the treasury-dedicated staffing level of Esox, or our market position and the numbers and levels of assignments handled, or the depth of our company and executive research data-banks.

  • We do not to pass on executives' details to a client without prior permission.
  • We do not create fictitious positions in order to gain CVs.
  • We do not advertise positions that are being handled by other recruitment companies.
  • All advice to executives is given openly and honestly. We would never give executives misleading information on clients and career opportunities in order to help secure appointments.
